Your link sits at depth 0 - where the host's weight starts.

A homepage backlink is a link placed on the host's main page - the URL that collects most of the domain's external links and passes authority down through its internal structure. Every other page on the site sits one or more clicks below it. Your link sits at the top.

That makes it the weight play: one placement, on the single strongest page of the host, linking straight to the page you need to move.

It's not the same as a sitewide link. A sitewide link sits in a template region and renders on every page; a homepage link sits in the homepage body, on one page, with maximum pull. And it's not the volume play - if you need topical breadth across many domains, bulk guest posts is the better fit.

Weight, not volume

A money page stuck just off the top spots usually needs a few heavy links, not another hundred light ones.

A homepage link points its full weight at one target - a launch, a GEO landing, or a page you need to move this month, not this year.

Every homepage link goes on a host from our own network. When we choose which one carries your link, it has to clear these:

Live and indexed. The host is a real, indexed site - not a parked domain. The link sits in the crawled server-side HTML of the homepage, not injected after load, so search engines actually see it.
In the homepage body. The link goes in the main content area, not buried in the footer - that's the difference between a homepage link and a sitewide one.
Fixed position. The link sits in a static homepage block, not a "latest posts" feed that pushes it off the page within a week. Because the host is ours, it stays where we put it.
Short outbound list. We cap how many external links share a homepage, so the weight isn't split across a wall of other paid links.
Flexible anchors. Branded, naked, or money - your call. We'll flag a choice that looks risky for grey niches, but you decide the anchor.

Brief. You send target pages, anchor preferences, GEO, and any exclusions (competitors, existing partners, domains you don't want).
